Autocare Services, Australia’s most extensive, fully integrated vehicle logistics solutions provider, recently received the first of 14 new Kenworth prime movers with the remaining trucks to arrive over the coming months.
These additional 14 complement the 20 Kenworth T359 and MAN TGS 240 prime movers added to the fleet in recent times.
The new fleet, made up of the Australian-made Kenworth T410SAR and T610SAR prime movers, will further lift Autocare’s car carrying capacity and feature advanced safety technology.
Kenworth T410SAR and T610SAR safety credentials:
- Enhanced Collision Mitigation – capable of decelerating up to 80 kph when encountering stationary and slower-moving vehicles.
- Highway Departure Warning and Braking – alarm and brakes applied if system detects the vehicle has left the highway unintentionally.
- BlindSpotter – a radar-based side sensor designed to help drivers be aware to vehicles hidden in blind spots.
- Multi-lane Autonomous Emergency Braking – helping drivers mitigate multiple crash situations, once the collision braking event begins and the driver steers to a new lane, brakes will continue to be applied if the system detects another vehicle posing a threat in the new lane.
These new additions come at an important time for Autocare which is seeing sustained demand for services across Australia, partly fuelled by strong new vehicle sales that are sitting at highs not seen since January 2018, according to Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
